Since 1936, The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College has been a destination, offering a museum, a theatre and an art school. The museum is housed in a 132,286 square-foot facility, and boasts 15 galleries focused on the art and culture of the Southwest and the Americas. In addition to rotating exhibits, the permanent collection features over 17,000 objects and features pieces by Georgia O'Keeffe and Dale Chihuly. Visitors can get a free tour from a student guide. The site is fully wheelchair accessible, and interpreters and large scale labels are available upon request. There is also a “tactile gallery,” offering a chance for visitors to engage with the artwork through touch. There is a gift shop on site.

Established in 1975, the Michael Garman Museum & Gallery is home to Magic Town, the artist's ambitious sculptural project—a 3,000 square-foot city block at 1:6th scale that visitors may walk through. The exhibit includes hundreds of handmade street characters populating a landscape filled with dozens of intricately sculpted buildings, brownstone apartments, bars, pool halls, cinemas and hotels. Holograms share stories of its inhabitants. There is a shop on the premises that provides opportunities to purchase Garman's work.

While the focus of this site is the summit of Pikes Peak (14,115 feet), the 19-mile scenic route to the top provides many views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, as well as designated areas for recreation, including opportunities for hiking, paddleboarding, canoeing, and kayaking. There is a shuttle bus and opportunities to hike. For most visits past mile 7, timed-entry reservations are required. This museum is dedicated to educating the public about the history and impact of rodeo on Western American culture. Permanent galleries honor notables and champions of the sport, present a timeline of the National Finals Rodeo, and showcase artifacts from the sport. An outdoor sculpture garden hosts a collection of rodeo-inspired bronze sculptures. Another gallery displays changing exhibitions, primarily of Western art collections and exhibits that pertain to rodeos. Retired rodeo bucking horses are housed at the museum every summer.

The Victor Lowell Thomas Museum, located in a building built in 1899, is home to two floors of artifacts, books, exhibits and photographs depicting life in the town of Victor, from its beginnings to the heyday of gold mining. In addition to memorabilia once owned by the journalist, author, and world traveler Lowell Thomas, the museum features an antique doll collection, rooms with furniture and household items from the turn of the last century, mining equipment from the late 1800s, and period equipment from a doctor's office.
