This machine allows you to create custom 2.25" buttons. In addition to the button maker, a die cutter is also available that will cut your artwork to the exact size needed by the button maker. Every button is made up of a button shell, a pinback, your artwork, and a mylar covering. The first 10 buttons you make every time you come in are free; additional supplies after that are $0.10 per button.

The Educational Resource Center (ERC) at East Library provides hands-on materials for families wanting to enrich their children’s education or help them improve their skills. Math, science, social studies, and language arts kits, as well as art and music resources and computer software are available for families with students of all ages to use.
One adult is required to be in the space for the entire reservation. Maximum capacity for the space is eight.
No food or drink is permitted in the space.
ERC 1 features three PCs that can be accessed using a library card or guest pass.
When you arrive, check in with the staff at the PC Lab just outside of the ERC to access the space.
ERC 1 and ERC 2 now have a large selection of items available for you to use during your reservation. Many items are easily accessible to patrons on open shelves. PPLD's 3D scanner, the Einscan-SP, uses sequenced light beams reflected back from the surface of objects to create data points that are turned into accurate and detailed 3D models for 3D printing, animation, and part replication. The Mini 2 can be reserved for up to 4 hours. If you have a longer print job or one that requires a larger bed size, larger Workhorse printers are available for reservation at Library 21C, East Library, and Sand Creek Library that can accommodate print times of up to 10 hours.

PPLD's studios offer access to equipment and tools to help bring your recording desires to life. In Studio21c, you'll find items such as professional-grade video cameras and lighting, microphones, a sound booth, and green screen.
Makers are responsible for bringing their own media storage to the studio. 64GB minimum is recommended.
Makers must be at least 9 years of age to be in the studio, and children 9-11 must have a parent or guardian present. A parent or guardian needs to sign a Creative Space Use Agreement for Minors for anyone under the age of 18.
The maximum capacity for this space is 6.

Studio21c is a popular and limited resource. If a patron does not show up for three reservations within a 12-month period without calling to cancel, they will be unable to reserve the studios for six months.
Cancellations must be made by the day before the reservation. Cancel by calling Studio 21c at (719) 531-6333, x1525, emailing the studio at: studio21c@ppld.org, or by following the link provided in the email confirming your reservation.

Manitou - Lulzbot Mini 2 3D Printer
The Lulzbot Mini 2 printer is available for 3D printing using ABS and PLA filament (print area is 6.30" L x 6.30" W x 7.09" H). Filament costs $0.05 per gram. Patrons are not allowed to bring outside filament for use with PPLD machines.

Sand Creek - Brother 1034D Serger
The Brother 1034D is a 3/4 thread serger with differential feed, featuring color-coded thread guides, presser foot pressure adjustment, a built-in free arm, retractable knife blade, and three (3) accessory feet. This machine is perfect for finishing edges and hems of most fabric types, and is an ideal tool for garment construction. The Epilog Laser Zing 24 is available for cutting and engraving a variety of materials (up to 24” x 12”) to make items with a high level of accuracy and detail. Makers should bring their own materials to engrave or cut.

Sand Creek - Silhouette Cameo Pro Die-Cutter
Die-cutters allow people to safely and accurately cut or draw designs on paper, vinyl, iron-on transfer materials, cardstock, sticker paper, select fabrics, and other materials. PPLD offers some items for purchase; call specific locations for availability.
This machine, the Silhouette Cameo Pro, can accommodate materials up to 24" wide.

SA Check-Out DSLR Camera
Studio916 offers Nikon D3300 / D3500 DSLRs to check out and use outside of the library. DSLRs are digital cameras that take photos with excellent image quality at a high resolution with very little noise.
We strongly recommend equipment be picked up on the first day of the reservation. Availability is not guaranteed for late pickups and the return date will likely not be able to be adjusted. A valid photo ID with current address or a valid photo ID and proof of address and PPLD library card are required to check out equipment.

The maximum capacity for this space is 2. We recommend single person reservation and use of the studio spaces. However, you may decide to share the space with another person of your choosing. If you are sharing the space, the whole group must be in the room together at the same time. Patrons may not cycle through.
